Why us

No bidding. No cold calls. Just your plumber.

Most "find a plumber" sites sell your details to whoever pays for them. We don't. There's one plumber behind this site, and they're the one who rings you back.

1

One plumber, not a list

Your job goes to a single local plumber — the one who'll do the work. You won't be put on a bidding site, and your number won't be sold on to five companies.

Vetted, insured, Gas Safe

Properly insured, Gas Safe registered for gas and boiler work, and known to us personally — not a name pulled off a directory.

Local & fast

A plumber who genuinely covers Macclesfield and the villages round it, so it's often the same day — and no charge for the quote.

What we cover

Whatever the job, it's been done before.

Your plumber, booked in four simple steps.

One job, one plumber, one phone call back. No ringing round, no waiting on hold, and no being handed to whoever bids highest.

Why homeowners use us

Finding a good plumber shouldn't feel like a gamble.

Fill your details into most plumbing websites and they get sold to whoever's buying — then your phone doesn't stop. Here there's one plumber: local, qualified, and the only person who gets your number.

One

One plumber takes your job — the same one who calls you back and turns up. Not a list, not an auction.

Fully insured, and Gas Safe registered for anything to do with gas or your boiler.

The questions homeowners in Macclesfield ask us most, answered plainly. Tap any one for the full answer.

Can I get an emergency plumber in Macclesfield?

Yes. For a burst pipe, a major leak, no water or no heating, choose "Emergency / burst pipe" as the job type on the quote form and your job is prioritised for the fastest call back we can manage. If you can smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 first — before you do anything else.

What should I do in a plumbing emergency?

Turn the water off at the stopcock, then open the cold taps to drain the pipes down. If water is anywhere near electrics, turn the power off at the consumer unit. Then call a plumber. If you can smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 instead — that comes before everything else.

Where can I find my main water shut-off valve?

Your internal stopcock is most often under the kitchen sink. Failing that, look in the downstairs loo, an airing cupboard, under the stairs, or near where the mains pipe enters the house. It closes clockwise — "righty tighty". There's also an external stop tap, usually under a small metal cover in the path or pavement outside — and in Macclesfield's older terraces, that outside one is often in the pavement itself and shared with next door.

How can I prevent plumbing emergencies?

Most plumbing emergencies give warning first. Lag your pipes before winter, get the boiler serviced once a year, keep fat and wipes out of the drains, replace flexible tap hoses before they perish, and deal with small drips rather than living with them. Knowing where your stopcock is turns a disaster into an inconvenience.
