Terms of Service
The plain-English terms for using this site to get your plumbing job booked in.
Last updated: 4 July 2026
These terms apply when you use www.macclesfieldplumbers.co.uk to request a quote or otherwise interact with Macclesfield Plumbers, operated by Phil Thomas Tech Ltd. By submitting an enquiry you agree to them.
1. What we do
This site is the front door for a single independent local plumber. You tell us about a plumbing job, and we pass your details to that plumber — and to no one else — so they can contact you. We do not run a lead marketplace: your enquiry is not auctioned, sold on, or sent to several trades to bid for. We are the introducer, not the plumber — the work itself is carried out by them, not by us.
2. The work is between you and the plumber
Any quote, agreement, contract, payment and work is strictly between you and the plumber. We are not a party to that arrangement. In particular:
- Prices, timings and the scope of work are agreed directly with the plumber.
- The plumber is solely responsible for the quality, safety and completion of their work.
- Any warranty or guarantee on the work is given by the plumber, not by us.
You are free to accept or decline the quote. Getting a callback puts you under no obligation to proceed.
3. Vetting
We take reasonable steps to check that our plumber is insured and, where gas work is involved, Gas Safe registered. However, this is carried out on a best-efforts basis and is not a guarantee. We recommend you confirm the plumber's credentials, insurance and registration directly before work begins.
4. Cost
Using this site, getting a callback and getting a quote are free to you. We are paid by the plumber we work with, not by you — and never per enquiry sold to a bidder, because we don't sell enquiries. You only pay for the work itself, at the price you agree with the plumber.
5. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate details about the job and your contact information.
- Only submit enquiries for genuine plumbing work you're authorised to arrange.
- Deal with the plumber honestly and lawfully.
6. Our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, delay, injury or dispute arising from work carried out (or not carried out) by a plumber, or from your dealings with them. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. This does not affect your statutory rights against the plumber who does your work.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the site available and to get every enquiry answered, but we can't guarantee the plumber will be free for every job or area at all times. We may change or withdraw the service at any time.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions? Email hello@macclesfieldplumbers.co.uk.
